H. Beginning to move

Beginning to move...TAKE IT SLOW! Who says we need to go the distance in one day? Keep in mind my story about walking two miles after my foot injury...wrong thing to do! I should have taken my task, broken it down into small 4 days goals and paid attention to what my body was telling me. Forget what your head is telling you, listen to your body!

Now, let's think about beginning to move. Some of us may have extra weight that we've been carrying on your frames for a very long time. Those pounds were there for a reason and now it is time to let them go. They served you well while you were trying to cope with life, stressful situations, job changes, divorces, death, whatever it was that made you feel as though food would comfort you.

But now you are healing your life which includes the mind, the body and the soul. Having extra pounds is not what makes you who you are. It is just extra weight on your frame.

Did you know that just by moving your body you get your circulation going, your heart gets a little stronger, your brain releases endorphins (chemicals that make you feel happy Very Happy ) and a host of other good things! Now you can do this by lots of different ways.

You can dance in your kitchen for 5 minutes, you can walk to the end of your street and back, you can walk the mall, you can walk in place in your living room etc.

Just pick something easy and begin. Beginning is what it's all about.

What are you doing to get moving? Are you using 4 days goals?
