G. Vision Boards
I love vision boards! Everyone, including children, should have one. Or two. Or three!
My vision board has some pretty cool pictures on it. I have a school bus and a lunch box that I had put up on my board a few months before my husband and I were trying to get our daughter into a full day program at her school. It was a lottery to see who got it and who didn't and I knew how badly my daughter wanted to be in the full day. We got it.
I also put up a picture of my other daughter as though she had already gotten into the college and dorm that she really wanted to be in. The trouble was that her school only accepts 20% on the incoming freshman into their dorms. In Boston, there are not enough dorms for students so a lot of them have to get apartments. No way was I letting her get an apartment as a freshman! She wanted it so badly and I wanted it to for her. I looked at those pictures for months and visualized her already in the dorm. She got it.
I also have a picture of my program being published and that has become a reality for me as well. I'm still working on the retirement home in St. John, meeting Tiger Woods and putting an in ground pool into my back yard. But someday I may have all this and more. It is what I look forward to and with every thought I have and seeing it and feeling it, I move closer to achieving it.
What is on your vision board? Is it in a place where you can see it regularly?
